The storage bowl is designed for the natural storage of fruit and vegetables. It is made of breathable CeraNatur® ceramic. The storage bowl protects against light and ensures good air circulation, so there is no condensation. The ceramic does not absorb odours and does not release them.
The storage bowl is manufactured by hand in our manufactory in Coburg in very high-grade and stable quality. To protect the floor surface, it is equipped with felt-gliders.
Two connectable dividers made of natural, solid beech are supplied. This creates four storage areas in the storage bowl. If a divider is placed individually in the bowl, two larger areas can be divided. The wood comes from Franconian forests and is PEFC-certified.
We supply a cover with sewn-in elastic band made of high-quality Upper Lusatian linen. This linen is characterised by a quick moisture absorption and a quick release of moisture.
Storaging
Keep the Storage Bowl out of direct light and in the coolest part of your kitchen, larder or cellar. It is designed for storing fruit and vegetables for one to two weeks.
The connectable beech wood dividers offer the choice of different compartments. Beech wood is very hard and is ideal for use in direct contact with food so that carrots can rest undisturbed next to onions or potatoes.
Special CeraNatur®-ceramics
We have developed a breathable version of our ceramics for the storage bowl. This improves air circulation. However, this ceramic cannot be waterproof at the same time.
The colour of the ceramics shimmers in beige-brown tones. Darker and brighter areas can alternate on the piece. Black speckles can also occur. These individual features underline the natural production and do not constitute a reason for complaint.
Cleaning
The storage bowl can be cleaned with water, brush and washing fluid. Afterwards it should dry out in the air for about two days. The linen cover can be washed at 60° C in the washing machine. It is not suitable for tumble drying. The wood dividers embedded with olive oil can be wiped off with a damp cloth. For drying, they are placed on a flat surface on the side or stuck together.
