Low starting energy results in fewer harmful substances and particulate matter when burning wood
Conventional firelighters usually only produce small quantities of energy. Burning is only very slow. You have to start with small pieces of wood and then put on large pieces of wood later, which disrupts burning and creates harmful waste gases, odours and fine particulate matter. The Denk Firelighter solves these problems.
The Denk Firelighter is a high-performance firelighter and stacking aid in one
The Denk Firelighter enables safe and clean lighting and stacking of large pieces of wood. The large, curved channel lets the starting flame come into contact with the entire width of the pieces of wood. This immediately creates a high temperature and therefore a flue draught. The wood catches fire very quickly. During burning, the Denk Firelighter remains in the embers where it also stores thermal energy. This increases the energy efficiency of the fireplace. Once it has cooled down, the Denk Firelighter can be removed and reused. It does not need to be cleaned.
Edible oil and leftover candles - ecological and economical fuels
Edible oil and leftover candles are very high-energy fuels that can be found in every household. They are economical and ecological fuels. To get leftover candles to burn, all you need to do is wrap them in a sheet of kitchen towel. If using edible oil (rape seed oil, sunflower oil, etc.), simply tear a sheet of kitchen towel into strips approx. 2cm wide. Place the strips of paper into the channel and pour approx. 100ml edible oil over them. Once the kitchen towel has caught fire, it acts as a wick so that the leftover candles and oil burn easily.
A filling with approx. 80g leftover candles (ca. 1 household candle) or 100ml edible oil has an enormous calorific heat value of approx. 1.0kWh. This amount of energy is enough to ignite several kilograms of wood. Alternatively, ethanol-based fuel gel can also be used in the Denk Firelighter.
CeraFlam® - durably heat-resistant ceramic
The Denk Firelighter is made from heat-resistant CeraFlam® ceramic. The material is steam-pressure resistant to liquid fuels. The curved shape guarantees stability, even with higher loads of wood. The outer lips prevent the stacked wood from slipping.
A patent for the Denk Firelighter has been applied for and it is protected as a registered design.
